At Oregon leather supply, pick up thinnish deerskin (gold/yellow) or
thin leather of any kind in any color. You can get thicker stuff for
thicker soles, the uppers are usually fairly thin though.
You will also want some artificial sinew for sewing, perhaps people
can split some as a roll is kinda spendy, $20. To make a small pair
of mocs, you'll need at least 5 square feet.
