Hi, everybody,
Marion had some trouble with her email system, and asked me to send this
out.
Please join us for fiber arts tonight, upstairs in the cosy little room
upstairs at Cascadia Wild, 3945 SE Hawthorne. Kristi's bringing felting
gear, I'm bringing cedar bark, and there's always bagels, cream cheese, and
tea.
If you get this too late, there's always next week's drum circle. Details
below.
Yours,
Erica
Greetings All,
Sorry for late notice, BUT, it's not TOO late to join us tomorrow for
another fun, interesting, and empowering Naturalist Skills Community Night
at Linus Pauling House.
Presenting is Kristi Falkowski (w/Erica Ritter) and their topic is Fiber
Arts: History and Practice
Kristi Falkowksi is a local educator and fiber craft artist w/a background
in anthropology. Kristi presents hands-on demonstration of one of the most
ancient fiber crafts: felting.
Learn to make your own felt, the difference between felting and fulling, and
take home exquisitely decorated small felt objects you make yourself.
Kristi and Erica will also give an overview of traditional fiber arts
worldwide, including local sources for natural fibers (many can be wild
harvested n season or year round.)
As always, refreshments are provided and all are welcome.
When: Monday, March 31
Where: 3945 SE Hawthorne Blvd
Time: 7-9pm
NEXT MONDAY, April 7, Trevor Murphy will be leading a drumming circle; the
drum is the oldest known musical instrument. Come and learn, explore, and
enjoy the drum and its many heartbeats at Naturalist Skills Community Night.
Brought to you by Cascadia Wild!
Marion, Erica, and Kristi!
